Middle School Choir
Middle School Choir is dedicated to developing comprehensive choral musicianship through immersive performance experiences. Students are exposed to a diverse breadth of musical literature, with a steadfast emphasis on technical mastery and high-quality vocal artistry.
Create the vocal method and aural abilities required for singing flawlessly and creatively in an ensemble or as a soloist.
Develop an appreciation for music of different styles and time periods.
Perform a diverse repertoire of vocal music with accuracy and expressiveness.
Learn the fundamentals of music and demonstrate knowledge of music terms.
Understanding relationships between music, the other arts, and disciplines outside the arts. Understanding music in relation to history and culture.

By focusing on vocal technique, music theory, and choral blending, students develop the discipline to contribute to a unified sound. High School Choir
High School Concert Choir is designed for students to refine their vocal artistry and experience the depth of performing in a melodic ensemble. By fostering a sophisticated understanding of choral music, this course provides a rigorous foundation that prepares students to remain active, lifelong participants in the musical arts.
Increase in knowledge of the fundamentals of music and of music terms.
Apply and recognize the following elements in a choral setting: expression, dynamic contrast, phrasing, tone quality, timbre, major/minor textures, form, articulation, proper vocal technique, balance and blend in a choral context.
Understudies will be able to outwardly and aurally recognize different sorts through identifiable characteristics of each genres’ social beginning, bona fide instrumented, and physical execution.
Develop an understanding of music theory and its connection to performance.
Students will participate in multiple performance opportunities and practice proper performance etiquette; both as a performer and as an audience member.
Students will discover connections between the arts and other subject areas through exploration, collaboration, and classroom discussion.
